Introduction

Columbia Gorge Community College offers a range of educational opportunities to individuals throughout the Columbia River Gorge Region.

At Columbia Gorge Community College (CGCC) you can complete your first two years of college and then transfer to a four-year institution. Or you can take a professional/technical program to qualify for a job. You can finish your high school education, explore career ideas, retrain or add to your job skills, or get professional help on how to run a business. CGCC also provides you with opportunities to pursue special interests or to broaden your education.

Classes are held at a variety of locations throughout the gorge. Distance learning at CGCC is a convenient and flexiable way to take courses.  CGCC offers distance learning through online, hybrid, online component, telecourses, videoconferencing and staellite classes. We schedule classes during the day, evenings, and on weekends for your convenience.

Whatever your educational goals and interests, we will do all we can to help you, whether it's enrolling you in our courses or referring you to other resources.

Location

CGCC is located in The Dalles, Oregon , a community with a population of 12,350, at the east end of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area on the Columbia River. A hub of activity in the Mid-columbia area, The Dalles is 85 miles east of Portland; 35 miles south of Goldendale, Washington; and 131 miles north of Bend.

The College occupies a beautiful campus at the southern edge of town on the highest point, overlooking the Columbia River Gorge.
